The studio, live.
Taylor paints in real time - at events, activations, and experiences - while guests watch the work come to life in front of them. The finished piece is memorable. The process is unforgettable.
What Live Art Does
Most art is experienced after the fact. Live art puts people inside the creation - watching something emerge from nothing over the course of an evening. It changes how guests engage with the event, with each other, and with the finished work. Connection is built into the process.
Where It Works
Team building, company celebrations, and executive experiences where the creative process becomes the most talked-about moment of the evening.
Product launches, trade shows, and marketing events where a live creation draws a crowd and gives people something to watch, share, and remember.
Game-day activations, fan experiences, and venue art - live painting where the energy of the sport is part of the work itself.
Art and sound made simultaneously. Taylor has toured with musicians, bringing visual creativity into the live performance experience.
The ceremony or reception, captured in real time - a one-of-a-kind piece that exists nowhere else and tells the story of the day as it happened.
A live creation that becomes the most compelling item in the auction - watched from start to finish by the people who will bid on it.
Taylor holds a BFA from Colorado State University and a CA C33 Specialty Painter's Contractor's License. Clients include Toyota, Hilton, Twitter HQ, and Sony PlayStation.
How It Works
Taylor works with clients ahead of the event to understand the concept, the space, and the intended outcome. The size, style, and pace of the piece are planned around the event format. On the day, he brings everything needed and integrates seamlessly into the environment - no disruption, just presence.
The finished painting can be displayed, auctioned, donated, or gifted depending on what serves the event best.

Taylor works with you ahead of the event to understand the concept, the brand, and what you want guests to take away. The size, style, and pace of the piece are planned around the event format. On the day he brings everything needed and integrates seamlessly into the environment - no disruption, just presence. The creation process itself becomes part of the guest experience.
-
Yes. Brand integration - logos, color systems, taglines, product imagery - is something Taylor does regularly in his commercial mural work and it translates directly into live art. If the piece needs to function as a brand asset after the event, that's part of the brief from the start.
-
A designated space with reasonable lighting, access to water, and enough room to work and for guests to observe comfortably. Taylor brings all materials and equipment. A heads up on any venue restrictions around paint, fumes, or floor protection is helpful in advance - all materials are low-VOC and non-toxic.
-
That's entirely up to you. Options include displaying it permanently in your space, auctioning it at the event for fundraising, gifting it to a VIP or keynote speaker, or donating it. For fundraiser and gala clients, a live creation that guests have watched from start to finish tends to be the most compelling item in the auction.

Art in the Village is one of the longest-running outdoor art events in North San Diego County - the 28th annual show took place June 28, 2026, bringing together 165 local and regional artists across paintings, photography, sculpture, glasswork, and more. Taylor participated as one of the featured artists, showing original work alongside some of the best regional talent in Southern California. Events like this are where Taylor stays connected to the local art community that's been part of his foundation from the beginning.
-
Taylor was in Chicago in June 2026 for the Sport Business Journal's Brand Innovation Summit - one of the premier gatherings in the sports business world. He was there doing what he does best: painting live while the room watched. The summit brought together brand partnership professionals from organizations including the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and Chicago White Sox, as well as activations teams, marketing executives, and sports industry decision-makers. The live painting format gave everyone in the room a real-time demonstration of what large-scale commissioned art looks like in practice - and what it can do for a venue, a training facility, or a brand activation at scale.
-
A lot of meaningful conversations with people who immediately understood the connection between live art and large-scale venue murals. The summit confirmed what the Colorado Rockies and Toyota Coors Field project already showed - there is serious appetite for this kind of work at the highest levels of professional sports. Taylor left Chicago with a clearer picture of where Sports Murals by Taylor is headed and who the right partners are to get there.

Taylor will be painting a live mural at an upcoming Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce gala event - and donating the finished piece to the organization. The Carlsbad Chamber is the second-largest chamber in San Diego County, the 10th largest in California, and the largest in North San Diego County, representing over 1,100 member businesses and a workforce of more than 65,000 employees. For Taylor, who is based in Carlsbad and deeply connected to this community, it's an opportunity to give something back - and to do it in the most direct way he knows how.
-
Because art should be a force for Good in the community that supports you. Taylor has built his practice in Carlsbad and across North County San Diego - the Chamber represents the businesses and people that make this community what it is. Donating a live-painted piece to an organization of that scale and reach is the kind of contribution that feels right. That's the intention behind it.
