Bars & Restaurant Murals
by Taylor Gallegos
Define the guest experience from the moment they walk in.
A restaurant mural isn't decoration - it's the first thing guests notice and the last thing they remember. Taylor has painted commercial interiors for hospitality clients including Hilton, bringing the same craft and professionalism to local restaurants, bars, and dining spaces across San Diego and beyond. The right mural makes a room feel intentional, and gives guests something to talk about before the food even arrives.

Mural Process
Restaurant and hospitality murals are designed around the guest experience - what you want people to feel when they walk in, and what you want them to remember when they leave. Taylor works with owners and designers to develop concepts that complement the space and the brand. Installation is scheduled to minimize disruption to service. All materials are commercial-grade and sealed for durability in high-traffic environments. Available throughout San Diego, Southern California, and nationwide.

It starts with understanding the experience you want guests to have - the vibe, the brand, the story behind the space. I'll ask about your cuisine, your clientele, your interior design direction, and what you want people to feel when they walk in. From there I develop concepts and digital mockups that translate that vision into imagery. Nothing goes on the wall until you love what you see on paper.

Yes. High-humidity and high-traffic environments require specific materials and sealers, and I select products accordingly. Interior restaurant murals are finished with a durable protective coating that can be wiped clean. For bar areas or spaces with direct moisture exposure, I use sealers specifically rated for those conditions.

Pricing is based on wall size, design complexity, surface condition, and any equipment needs like lifts or scaffolding. Every project gets a custom quote. I'd rather over-deliver on value than the reverse - reach out with your wall dimensions and concept and I'll put together an estimate.
-
Yes - and I enjoy it. Working alongside a designer or architect means the mural integrates seamlessly into the overall concept of the space rather than sitting on top of it. I'm comfortable working from mood boards, design briefs, and brand guidelines, and I'll make sure the finished work complements everything else in the room.
-
Restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, event spaces, and private dining rooms. Commercial clients include Hilton. I've worked in spaces ranging from fast-casual to fine dining, each with different aesthetics and audiences. The approach is always specific to the space - there's no one-size-fits-all solution in hospitality.
-
Yes. Murals can be painted over, updated, or modified. If there's any chance your concept or branding might evolve, it's worth discussing during the design phase so we build in flexibility from the start. I also offer touch-up and maintenance services for existing murals.
