Sports Murals
by Taylor Gallegos
Sports murals are where everything converges - portraiture, branding, fan engagement, and storytelling at a scale that does justice to the game. Taylor's flagship project in this space: the Toyota and Colorado Rockies VIP Clubhouse at Coors Field, six murals and fourteen canvas paintings covering 30 years of team history. This is the work he's built toward.
Sports Activation
Sports murals are where branding, storytelling, and fan engagement converge at scale. Taylor has created large-scale sports murals for Toyota and The Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver - six murals and fourteen canvas paintings covering 30 years of team history, designed for the VIP Clubhouse reserved for the best seats in the ballpark. His sports mural work spans professional venues, team facilities, gyms, and training spaces across California and nationwide. If your space lives and breathes sport, this is where Taylor's full skill set comes together.
Taylor holds a BFA from Colorado State University and a CA C33 Specialty Painter's Contractor's License. Clients include Toyota, Hilton, Twitter HQ, and Sony PlayStation.
Mural Process
Every sports mural starts with understanding the story you want to tell - the team, the brand, the history, the culture. Taylor works with clients on concept development and digital mockups, integrating logos, portraits, typography, and narrative into a cohesive large-scale design. From there it's surface preparation, painting, and a final protective sealing coat built for high-traffic environments. Available for venues, gyms, training facilities, and private spaces nationwide.

Professional stadiums, team clubhouses, training facilities, gyms, and private sports spaces. My flagship sports mural project was the Toyota and Colorado Rockies VIP Clubhouse at Coors Field in Denver - six murals and fourteen canvas paintings covering 30 years of team history, a Premium Experience designed for the top 50 ticket holders in the ballpark and the players' families. That project is the benchmark for what sports mural work can be at the highest level.
-
Yes. I'm experienced working with brand guidelines, official team marks, and corporate identity standards. For projects involving licensed intellectual property, clients are responsible for securing the appropriate approvals and usage rights before work begins. Once that's in place, I execute the design with full fidelity to the brand standards provided.

Through a combination of dynamic composition, portraiture, and storytelling. A great sports mural doesn't just show a logo - it captures a moment, a feeling, a history. I approach sports murals the way a sports photographer approaches a great shot: what's the peak moment, the defining image, the thing that makes someone stop and feel something? That question drives every design decision.
-
Yes. My experience includes working directly with professional sports organizations and their corporate partners on large-scale venue installations. I understand the professional environment, the multiple stakeholders involved, and the level of precision and accountability those projects require.
-
Yes. Sports venue installations require careful scheduling around games, events, and facility use. I work with venue operations teams to plan installation phases that minimize disruption and meet project deadlines. Timeline planning is part of the initial conversation on every venue project.

Sports murals often evolve - new players, new milestones, new seasons. I'm available for updates, additions, and touch-ups on existing work. It's worth discussing long-term scalability during the design phase so the original mural is structured to accommodate future additions cleanly.
-
Yes. Gyms, training facilities, crossfit boxes (what did you mean here?), and private sports spaces are all projects I take on. The scale is different but the approach is the same - understand the energy of the space and the community it serves, then design something that amplifies it.
